Face shields from the 3D printer

We are tinkerers, and our mindset is: do good and lend a hand.

Since none of us is a virtuoso at the sewing machine, it was clear that we needed another idea to help where the shortage was. We wanted to make a voluntary contribution in a hard time.

Normally our 3D printer builds prototypes and other new ideas for querdenker engineering projects. If we cannot sew and do not own a production hall, we can at least put the printer to work. So we did: we found a printer-friendly design that protects the wearer and the people around them from droplet infection. To support people in our region, the printer now runs around the clock.

With this we are supporting the makervsvirus.org community, which organises the distribution of the shields among other things. A warm thank you to everyone involved: they keep things running smoothly between the makers and the people and organisations who depend on the equipment and spare parts being produced.
