What a connected device needs
The device
A DIN-rail computer or a single-board computer as the basis, flexible enough to meet your specific requirements too. Or we develop a device of your own for you.
The software on it
A Buildroot Linux with a mainline LTS kernel, signed updates and open source code. Your team builds it or takes our image.
Testing in manufacturing
At the end of the line, devices are programmed, tested and logged — at your EMS provider, at your site or at ours.
Operation in the field
Monitoring devices and rolling out updates. On your own infrastructure or in our cloud in Germany.
Ten years of maintenance
Monitoring, assessing and closing vulnerabilities. As regular releases with SBOM and CVE report, or as a service we take on.

The scope is the same either way. It is only a question of who does the work.

What belongs to you
The source code is in the open
The Buildroot external tree and the board support are public on GitHub. You can see what the system is built from before you decide.
qdCloud runs at your site too
You can operate the platform on your own infrastructure. In that case your device data never leaves your premises.
Escrow with every major release
The current source code is placed in escrow with every major release, at least once a year. The escrow agent and the release triggers are set out in the supply contract.
