An interview with Hagen Späth for the BZ company portrait offers a look behind the scenes at querdenker engineering GmbH.

Alongside the story of how the company came about, from Waging in Bavaria to Ichenheim in Baden, it covers growth and our vision for the future.

He also reports on something unusual: how we put democracy into practice inside the company.

It takes more time. It is more demanding. But it is also something special: at querdenker engineering, everything important is decided together and democratically, from accepting or turning down projects to hiring and dismissals. “It has been that way from the start, and it is now written into our company rules,” says managing director Florian Seibold.

We know we are a little different from others, and when it comes to working well together and developing each individual, you sometimes have to try new approaches. We are proud to be part of a democratic company, to be supported and challenged every day, and to have the chance every day to become a little better ourselves and to support others.

It is not always easy, but self-directed work is well worth it. On that we all agree.
