A method for measuring demagnetisation
Proving residual magnetisation is expensive, so often nothing is measured at all. We have developed a method that changes this.
Proving by measurement that a component retains residual magnetisation is currently laborious and expensive.
For industrial applications in particular, it simply does not add up economically at present.
As a result, components are often not measured after demagnetisation at all, or only very roughly.
To make the quality of demagnetisation easier to assure in future and to bring the cost of the procedure down, we are developing a method for checking the result of demagnetisation quickly and precisely, together with the Chair of Electrical Machines and Drive Systems at the Helmut Schmidt University / University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg and with PWT Prüf- und Werkstofftechnik.
