Air energy meters configured and monitored as a network

The brief

Whoever wants to split the ventilation costs of a building between its consumers has to measure the air flow and the energy it carries. Luftmeister, sister company of halstrup-walcher, developed the air meter and the air energy meter for that; they cut operating costs and split ventilation costs fairly.

One meter is manageable. A building has many, and they were to be configured, managed and monitored as a network.

The solution

We developed embedded software modules for the meters and, as the main part, planned, programmed and tested a PC tool that configures, manages and monitors entire device networks. With it the plant answers questions such as: Is exhaust air removed sufficiently, do critical zones get enough air, is the air change guaranteed.

The result

A measuring system operated as a whole across the building, and a contribution to a product that saves energy by making it visible.
